I love finding grammatical errors in published works. Which is why I was so excited to have found one in Italiano in the book L’Isola del Tesoro (Treasure Island).

A Little More than I Bargained For
Last night, my dinner looked at me.
We went out to a nice restaurant for the famous Brodetto. It’s a fish/seafood soup that is famous in Italy, but most specifically in Vasto (where I am). If you wiki it, it’ll bring up the link in Italian for Vasto Brodetto. Not wanting shellfish, because I only like fish, my friend and I ordered our minus the “frutti di mare”...

A Jaunt Around Abruzzo
Events of the piccola gita that we made around Abruzzo:
1. Got up obnoxiously early and loaded onto a bus that seats about 60 people. Rather unnecessary for our group of approximately 25.
2. Saw an awesome (pre-gotico, pre-classico) chiesa and totally displayed our knowledge about San Giovanni, frescos, and red and blu and oro.
3. Saw a beautiful vineyard and wondered where the hell was this...
